Excitatory symptoms are sometimes ignored as possible side effects of morphine. Severe adverse effects such as respiratory depression can be treated with the opioid antagonist naloxone.Patients receiving continuous infusion of morphine sulfate via indwelling intrathecal catheter should be monitored for
